So here’s a little about me …….
I am a happily married mom to four amazing girls, who are growing up to soon for my liking. They are 19,17, 13 and forever 9.
I never imagined I would have children, being the oldest of five and playing a big part in raising my siblings, I had a life planned full of adventure and no dirty nappies. Amazing how meeting Mr Right changed that. Alan and I have been together for 18 years, married for 16. While you will occasionally find me moaning about him, but this man saved me. He taught and showed me that I deserved to be loved. He took a wild lost child and turned her into a woman that I am slowly learning to be proud of.
Life hasn’t been easy for us as a family we suffered the terrible loss of Livvy our third daughter. In 2008 she lost her battle with Rett Syndrome. Our hearts are forever broken. Livvy changed who we were, she showed us how to love life and create memories. Losing her nearly destroyed us.
I started my blog to share my ups and downs but it has become much more. It is on these pages I have finally discovered the person I wish to be.
As a family we foster children with severe special needs and moan a lot about the lack of sleep this causes.
Life is about living about taking each moment and making memories.
I have a lot of interests including, quality family time, plus size fashion, baking, reading and anything gothic.
I’m also an advocate for Compassion UK.
You will often find me raising awareness about Rett Syndrome here, this is simply because this is the devastating condition we lost Livvy too.
